DMCA Copyright Policy
Sikh Digital Library respects the intellectual property rights of others. This policy outlines how we handle copyright infringement claims in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
To report infringing content, send a written notice containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work.
- Identification of the infringing material (URL or exact location).
- Your contact information (name, address, phone, email).
- A statement of good‑faith belief that the use is unauthorised.
- A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, you are authorised to act.
Counter‑Notification
If you believe content was removed by mistake, you may submit a counter‑notice containing similar identification and a statement of consent to jurisdiction. We will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the material within 10–14 business days unless a court action is filed.
Processing Timeline
Valid notices are reviewed within 5 business days. We may remove or disable access to the material pending resolution.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Users who repeatedly upload infringing content may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
